Our Immune System
Your immune system fights allergens, viruses and bacterial invaders, and does its best to defend against the toxic materials that find their way into our bodies.
- Colds, flu, sinusitis, ear infections (otitis)
- Hepatitis, herpes, EBV, CMV
- Stealth infections, chronic fatigue syndrome
In Arizona, we are exposed to dust and both native and imported pollens during our many growing, blooming and windy times. Food allergens enter via the digestive system, and chemical toxins arrive via lungs, gut and skin. Environmental pollutants may challenge the immune system as well.
Our bodies’ immune systems respond with white blood cells and antibodies. High stress levels may cause our immune systems to over-react with autoimmune conditions, or under-react, leaving us more vulnerable to infections and even cancer.
